ITS TIME!! Inktober is here again and September couldn’t have come soon enough!

Thanks so much for showing an interest in being a part of this project! If you are new, welcome! If you are returning, I’m so happy to work with you again!

Each year I participate in an online challenge over the month of October called “Inktober”. There is a prompt per-day all month long and for the last 9 years I’ve been illustrating this project. Since pivoting into tattooing 4 years ago, it’s become an “inked” challenge!

I had such a blast with last year’s designs and got to tattoo a ton of fun designs, I hope to do the same this year! The goal is to book these pieces/appointments throughout September and early October to then be posted each day of October following the list. All the designs this year are one-offs except for “I” “K” “L” “P” & “U”.

My usual days of operation in the shop are Tuesdays-Saturdays, but for this project I’ll be opening up Sunday spots as well! If you are interested in booking “J” or “T” I would come in on a Monday. F. Haunted Tree - willow trees symbolize the eternal life of a spirit

I. Shadow puppets on the garden wall once the sun goes down…

J. Honenashi Onna - Yokai - Honenashi Onna visits the houses of deceased individuals and tangles herself in garden trees. She is not an omen of death to come but of Death’s recent visit; a reminder to mourners that death still lingers…

K. Corvid with thistle

L. Changeling babes - Changelings are fairies who had been left in place of a human child or baby who had been stolen by the fairies. (L1 - fairy ‘child’ left in place of the human child by the fairies/ L2- human child in the fairy circle)

M. Black Widow - catching prey in her webs!

Other garden party guests that I would do customs for:

P. Spirits of the garden - want a custom of these little guys with different plants or veggies or interacting with garden stuff send a request!

Q. Banshee - The name 'banshee' is derived from the Old Irish for 'woman of the fairy mound'. I’ve depicted her the moment before she releases her piercing shriek…

R. Girl with the green ribbon

S. Knife throwing entertainer - garden party guest

T. Bone-head - would look great in black and grey but this piece would read best in color!

U. Peanuts!!! WItches!!!!

V. I found an image of an old headstone with the loveliest carving and the words “At Rest” - these would work well in any rounded area. I envision these as knee pieces or on the back of the calves.

W. Beekeeper!

X & Y - pulled from antique embroidery patterns - could also work on shins or back of lower calves. Any linear area would work. Would translate best in black and grey. If color was applied it would be sparingly and with a single spot color.
