All flash is repeatable unless marked otherwise. I have a few flash books that can be previewed at your appointment. I try my best to update my flash highlight on my instagram but not all new flash is available there.

Please be aware, some designs may have been added or removed by your date. If you’d like to claim a retired design, please specify in the form above and I’ll do my best to accommodate. 

I am happy to modify any design to fit your needs/available space. 

✫ Please be aware that New Jersey requires a sales tax of 6.625%. Prices reflex pre-tax numbers. Shop minimum is $100 ✫

For palm-hand sized pieces and most flash, i generally charge based on size. Prices adjust for black and grey or color and level of detail.

ex: palm sized color $250 | b&g $200

hand sized color $475 | b&g $375

For customs and large scale work, I’m introducing per hour pricing. I work quickly and have found this is best for my workflow.

I charge ($200/hour) and have a $200 minimum for customs. For assisted pricing, see below.

please refer to these pricing examples for help budgeting:

$250 - palm sized, low-fair detail

$450 - hand sized or slightly larger than hand sized with fair detail

$600-800 - larger tattoos with high detail

$1000 - any session that would take all day (5 or more hours)

Full color backs wont exceed $2500-$3000 at this time | Black and grey won’t exceed $2000-2500

If you are interested in a custom and need assisted pricing please choose the assisted pricing option when filling out a form. (Please choose this if you are disabled, a volunteer community organizer, a SWer, BIPOC or LGBTQ+)

All appointments require a non-refundable $100 deposit. This will be sent to you via email as a payable portal from 5th Layer Studios. It will hold your place in my schedule and go towards your final balance day-of. If it is a multiple session project, the deposit will be applied to your last session.

At 5th Layer we take cash, card and ApplePay. We do not have Venmo r PayPal available at this time.

If you choose to leave a tip, cash is preferred (always accepted, never never expected)

Deposits are non-refundable in the event of a cancellation. If you need to reschedule, please do your best to notify me a week ahead of your appointment. Your deposit will roll over if the appropriate amount of time is given. Less notice will require a new deposit to rebook.

It is rare, but in the event that I have to reschedule you for any personal/professional reason, your deposit will carry over automatically. I will do my best to reschedule you as soon as possible.

Can i get a tatoo if i’m under 18? — we don’t have the insurance at the shop to cover tattooing minors. Even with parental consent we cannot tattoo anyone underage. 

Can I bring my child to my appointment? — We ask that you don’t bring your kiddos along with you. The shop is full of taxidermy, fragile antiques and media that may not be suitable for children.

Because all of your support is so great, my schedule usually books out a few weeks ahead for weekdays and out a few months for Saturdays. It’s best to book an appointment if you want to ensure a spot in my schedule.

Occasionally, I’ll have a cancellation and a spot will open up for walk-ins. If that happens I will update on my Instagram’s story and Instagram channel!

I am currently at 5th Layer Tattoo Studio in Phillipsburg, NJ. (7 Union sSquare, Phillipsburg NJ 08865) We are above Jimmy’s Doggie Stand.

Our shop is all woman/POC/Queer owned and operated.

We occupy the second and third floor. Unfortunately we do not have an elevator. If accessibility is a concern, please let me know and I will do my best to trade stations with an artist on the second floor.

We are moving locations early 2026 to a more accessible space! Updates will be posted once available!

• Please be sure to bring a photo ID — We need this for our consent forms.

• Eat a good meal before your appointment. — You are welcome to bring snacks and we have sweets at the shop if needed. Please do not consume alcoholic beverages or illicit substances prior to your appointment. I cannot tattoo you if you are under the influence of any kind.

• Wear something comfortable that allows access to the area being tattooed — For placement on the side of the hip or thigh we would suggest wearing shorts or hip tied swim bottoms that can expose the area / back tattoo or shoulder blade, a button up shirt or zip up hoodie can be worn backward / chest or collarbones, a tube top or a tank top so that the straps can be tucked under the arms)

• The day before your session — please refrain from having any alcohol or illicit drugs, as this weakens the immune system and can make the tattooing process/healing rough.

You can absolutely bring a friend to your appointment — Because space is limited, we ask that you only bring one friend. They are welcome to join you in our tattoo spaces while your being tattooed or sit in our waiting area. We have food and drink available and there’s always something on the TV :)
